Cooling

Cooling comprises 60 to 70 percent of datacenter’s total power consumption, with the remainder devoted to equipment operations. With energy costs skyrocketing, the data center industry faces more pressure than ever before to conserve power.

Premier Solutions Co. provides innovative and standard cooling solutions to enterprise centers, with pre- and post-readings to determine the project’s success.

APC Inrow Cooling-Hot Aisle Containment

Inrow vs. room-based cooling: Optimize your cooling by delivering cool air direct to the rows of servers and eliminate hot and cold air mix. For 20KW per rack capacity needed, rack cooling solutions are available

Air cooled direct expansion requires less set up.

APC Premier Solutions Co

With most centers delivering less than 50% of cool air from CRAC to intake, inrow cooling increases efficiency for high density systems. Thermal containment products maximize the effectiveness of inrow cooling solutions for low- to high-density racked IT loads. Available in rack or aisle level configurations, these products are designed to completely separate the supply and return air paths of the IT equipment.

Contain–IT from Electrorack

Contain-IT ElectrorackPremier Solutions Co. provides thermal containment from Electrorack. This solution can retrofit into your existing rows of cabinets and turn the center into a contained data center and increase efficiency 40-50% resulting in increased set points.

  • Retrofit to almost any installation
  • Translucent panels allow light to pass for improved visibility
  • Sliding doors minimize the space required versus swinging door solutions
  • Levelers accommodate uneven flooring to align doors
  • Brush seals help prevent leakage
  • Modular design speeds installation
  • Translucent Material has an ASTM E84 Class I fire-rating
  • Built to order for your space

Koldlok

Surface Mount Koldlok

50 – 80% of valuable conditioned air is not reaching the air intake of IT equipment due to unsealed cable openings.
The KoldLok® Grommet is a superior sealing solution that increases current cooling unit capacity, mitigates equipment heat loads, and raises static pressure under the raised floor to improve cool air delivery through perforated tiles or floor grates.

Hotlok blanking panels

HotLok® Blanking Panels provide the lowest total cost of ownership and highest energy dollar savings of any blanking panel on the market.

HotLok® immediately increases the efficiency of your cooling system and delivers quick payback and long term energy cost savings.

Koldprofile

Premier Solutions Co. and Upsite Technologies has teamed up to provide “KOLD|PROFILE to assist with your DCO (Data Center Optimization). This onsite survey of your data center cooling will determine the three measurements of data center cooling health based on published standards from ASHRAE and the Uptime Institute:

  • Data Center Hotspots – Temperature and Relative Humidity
  • Bypass Airflow – To regain lost conditioned airflow
  • Cooling Margin Available – To cool additional equipment without overprovisoning cooling.

Triad promotes passive “River Cooling System©” by replacing ineffective airflow systems in a very cost effective way. Airflow Utilization Efficiency© (AUE) is measured by comparing the supply air temperature (65) to the temperatures at the top of the rack (80) = AUE of 15. By managing to an AUE of 10 or lower, data center managers can reduce cooling costs by up to 40%.

Triad targets AUE by improving the cooling flow at all three levels of the rack. “Data center managers can save 4 percent in energy costs for every degree of upward change in the set point. By lowering the lower, mid and upper server temperature by 5 – 15 degrees, Triad’s passive River Cooling systems provide 8% to 40% reductions in Data Center power costs.

“River (ICE) Cooling©” Airflow Panels

This innovative design increases server airflow density while remedying data center and server farm hot spot challenges. Aging data centers infrastructure has made Triad the leading replacement raised access floor solution for increasing heat load and hot spot demands. Triad guarantees they can fit any raised floor system design with a replacement airflow panels that deliver 2-3 times more CFM than the industry standard 25% airflow panels.
